About Us
Who we are

phs Group is a team of over 3,000 expert personnel providing washroom, floorcare, healthcare and a range of specialist services to over 120,000 customers ranging from large single sites to multi-national restaurant chains, healthcare establishments and small owner-occupied shops. phs provides vital workplace services to organisations which improve the well-being of employees and customer. It makes over 3.6 million visits each year, whether it’s disposing of sanitary waste and nappies, installing hand dryers, soap dispensers, consumables and air purifiers or supplying floor mats to prevent slips, trips and falls. You’ll also find phs working within the healthcare industry disposing of clinical, pharmaceutical, and dental waste. phs services also include the provision of indoor and outdoor plants, electrical and gas compliance testing services, industrial workwear, and waste compactor and crate rental.

What makes phs different? It’s commitment to do the right thing. Through its LifeCycle Strategy, phs aim to divert up to 95% of our customers’ hygiene waste away from landfill, by using sustainable disposal methods, creating power for the national grid. It’s helping clean up the ocean from plastic by using ghost fishing nets to create Econyl floor mats. It has patented products which deliver significant water and cost savings. Its air purifiers help to improve employee wellbeing.

By using phs, organisations can make a difference to the environment and their bottom line as well as telling a good news story. It’s all about doing the right thing.

Customer experience

We want to give our customers a good experience through great products that are market leading and innovative. We recruit, attract and retain the right people and are experts in our field.

Well-being

We care about the well-being of our employees and our customers’ employees and our customers. Our products and services are designed to make customers’ premises more pleasant and healthy.

Period equality

phs is leading the way when it comes to tackling period equity. We’re lifting the lid on the scale of the issue, supporting charitable causes and engaging with government, local authorities, schools and businesses.

As part of our phs Period equity initiative, we’ve commissioned new research into the experiences and opinions of girls surrounding period poverty and have launched an awareness-raising campaign.

We are also working closely with the Department for Education to create a Period Poverty Taskforce, which will bring together campaigners, organisations, experts, governments and local authorities, with one common goal: eliminating period poverty. By collaborating with these experts, we aim to highlight the scale of the issue, demonstrate best practice, identify solutions, and create a period equity movement tasked with making a real difference.

Values
Our core values form the foundation of our culture, brand and the way we work at PHS.

Therefore when defining our values, we thought it was important to reflect the thoughts and experiences of our people. For this reason, we involved everyone in the process which meant it was our employees who chose our six values.

This process has worked well and generated a wealth of examples of best practice and new ideas about how we can continue to improve and grow.

Everyday we work to reflect these values in everything we do, for example, ‘PHS Stars’ is our employee recognition program where we ask our people to nominate colleagues who have gone above and beyond, to be recognised and rewarded.
How we role...
We want to share with you what it's really like to work here at phs and what better way, than to hear from some of our people. That's just 'How we role'. See what we did there?
